Thad Beeler
Director, National Disaster Photo Rescue
Thad Beeler is a native of Joplin, Missouri. He attended Joplin High School and Missouri Southern State University where he studied vocal and instrumental music education. He is a professional musician and current director of Music at First Baptist Church in Carthage, Missouri.
Beeler is also director of the National Disaster Photo Rescue. Due to his work in Photo Rescue in Joplin, Missouri and other regional disasters, he is the recipient of a 2015 Missouri Humanities Award for Exemplary Community Service. He is a Gold Medal of Achievement recipient.
Beeler met his wife of 22 years in college. They have a daughter and reside in the Carthage area. Thad is a certified Band Instrument Repair Technician and was in building material sales for 15 years before returning to his passion, music and the arts. He enjoys music, history, camping, woodworking, and going to museums and national parks with his family.
