Dennis Manley

Dennis Manley is a Registered Nurse with over 40 years of healthcare experience. He is currently the Chief Nursing Officer at Mercy Hospitals Joplin and Carthage. Dennis has experience in critical care nursing, quality improvement, risk management, corporate compliance, emergency management, medical staff services, patient safety and infection control.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri Southern State University, is a Healthcare Risk Manager and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
He has worked with local, regional and state-wide coalitions on emergency preparedness and disaster response.
On the evening of May 21, 2011, Manley responded to the destruction of St. John’s Regional Medical Center (now Mercy Hospital) following a direct hit by an EF5 tornado. He assisted with the emergent evacuation of all patients from the hospital and served as the Incident Commander for the weeks following the event.
