Miranda Schuler
City Council, Minot, ND
Miranda Schuler is a North Dakota native. She has served her community as an elected alderman for the city of Minot since June 2014. Her desire to be of service to others is a product of the selfless service she and her family received during and after the 2011 flood event in Minot. An insurance agent by trade, Miranda spends much of her time advocating for long term flood control for the Souris River basin. She works with local, state, and federal delegates to advocate for affordable and sustainable changes to the National Flood Insurance Program.
Ms. Schuler also serves on various boards and committees in the area to include Ward County Planning, city of Minot Public Works & Safety, ND Cares, Strengthen ND, and is currently chairing a committee to incorporate recycling and automation into our sanitation services.
Miranda is often described by her peers as well informed and proactive. She has a deep rooted pride in her community and is genuinely curious about other’s thoughts and opinions.
